The 91С»Æ³µ is happy to offer a hospital medicine track to our residents interested in hospital medicine. The hospital medicine track is dedicated to providing targeted, specific content to senior residents committed to the tenets of hospital medicine. Residents are selected via a competitive application process at the beginning of their second year, and the track runs for 16 months through the end of their residency. Residents participate in a structured curriculum covering pertinent, high-yield hospital medicine topics and are matched to mentors from UK and the VA. Additionally, they are guided in developing and executing a group QI project in order to both learn and apply the tenets of QI. Finally, as their capstone clinical experience, all residents rotate on a VA direct care medicine team to develop the skills of managing their own primary team, triaging admissions and medicine consults, and working with APPs.
