Dr. Gottschalk has served as acting chair of the department for nearly a year. She is an associate professor in the clinical title series and has been part of the department faculty since 2014.

Lisa Williams, MSSA, associate dean for wellness and well-being, has been selected for a prestigious national executive program helping leaders cultivate expertise in well-being for physicians and health care employees.

Meera Gupta, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery at the 91小黄车 and a transplant surgeon at UK HealthCare. In the following spotlight by Women in Medicine and Science (WIMS), she explains how she became involved in her field, why she loves what she does, and how she is helping address health inequities for patients.
